Impeccable service. An older gentleman (who I assume is Mr. Albert himself?) walks around tends too all customers needs. My water was never half empty - he's lovely. I got sushi rolls and they were good. The hibachi options are great too. Cold beers and good food.
Much better food then typical Chinese take out places, you can tell they use better quality ingredients. Great service.

Alberts is just about the only of the classic Chinese restaurants of the 70s left......Thankfully they remain and still turn out the dishes i grew to love many years ago...I order mostly hunan type dishes and the sauces and crispness are always above the rest...Please stay around as long as i remain on this earth!...memories relived!
The food and service are great. Although, I think the portions are a bit skimpy. The steamed dumplings tasted good but were smaller than I expected. The portion of General Tso's chicken was also smaller than expected but tasted great. Compared to others at my table and the size portions they received, this didn't compare well. Albert walks around to and sure all is well and he is extremely nice. I will go back and try another dish.
Wonderful old School atmosphere that I remember from my youth when it was a big deal to go out to dinner.
Love this place albert is a character comfort Chinese resteraunt good duck and good chicken general Tso and good shrimp coconut as well fried rice is to die for and so is the egg rolls many good dishes I'm looking forward to trying place is a Huntington land mark god bless
Friendly staff, greeted us promptly and there was no wait! Extensive menu, anything you could hope for plus more from a fine Chinese restaurant. They start you with complementary fried wonton strips with mustard and plum sauce. We went for the Peking duck. Our server informed us it would be 25 minutes. It came out beautiful, golden and crispy! Slices to perfection and prepared table side in pancakes with scallions and hoisin. So yummy!!! BTW, free parking right next to the restaurant! Always a plus!
Albert's Mandarin Gourmet has been a staple in Huntington for decades - and it's no wonder, because the the ambiance is as great as Albert's warm presence. We had a small gathering tonight in which we feasted on Beef with Broccoli (so good on a cold autumn evening) with strips of tender beef and freshly steamed broccoli; spare ribs; General Tso's chicken; Coconut Shrimp; Egg Rolls; and more! Of course there was also a generous tray of fresh sushi. Our group had a small section set off by a privacy screen - and the service was exceptional. We had table service for our beverages, while we enjoyed the buffet. And Albert came out to greet us personally! Albert's Mandarin Gourmet is the hands-down best place for Chinese food in Huntington.
